Delta Joes Pistachios

I bought a bag of pistachios-only pistachios-which reads in big letters on the front of the bag "California Pistachios". On the back of the bag reads "Allergen Alert: Contains Pistachios" Is this really necessary? Who would purchase these, not see the front label, and immediately turn it over to check for allergy alerts?
